We'd like to thank ALL of our Great performers in advance for their hard work and dedication!
In the dance world, there are certain rules of etiquette that should be followed:
  • Dancers show respect for themselves by showing respect to others.
  • The structure of dance is something that helps encourage us all to work hard through positive
    reinforcements and goals.   
  • Let's all encourage one another to make this a fun-filled, exciting experience for everyone!
  • We at CT Salsa Fest will not tolerate any negative outbursts or attitudes.
  • Tickets:
    While The CT Salsa Fest does not require that a set number of tickets be pre-sold in order to
    perform at the event, we are seeking your assistance in encouraging you and your dancers and
    their friends and family to support our event, so that we can continue to celebrate the love of
    dance in Connecticut.

    Commission packages are available. (please contact me if you are interested) Also, this year we
    will be collecting donations for St. Jude Children's Hospital.  (Cancer treatment facility)  We hope
    that you will help support this great cause.
    We have sponsor booklets available, please let us know if you are willing to support this great

  • Last year our Salsa for St. Jude Silent Auction fund-raiser surpassed our goal of $10.000.00 [ten
    thousand dollars] -  Thanks to our patrons, we donated $11,200.00 [eleven thousand, two hundred
    dollars] to the Children of St. Judes Childrens Hospital.  Together....We can make a difference!
The schedule for the day allows for the maximum number of performances.  In order for the day to progress smoothly please read the following
details:

  • Stage Dimension:
    Stage will stand approx. 3 feet high and its dimensions are 28' x 20'.
  • ONLY YOUTH PERFORMERS 16 & UNDER WILL RECEIVE FREE WORKSHOPS
  • Performing groups/teams must report to registration desk immediately to sign in.  Registration takes place at the CT Salsa Fest Performers
    Registration Desk.
  • ALL TEAMS MUST provide DJ with your Music/Routine CD at time of TECH REHEARSAL.  (Please label CD w/ Team name & date of
    performance)
  • Please make sure you go to your scheduled tech rehearsal time slot.
  • Dressing for event will take place in your hotel room or in the Rest Rooms located near Registration Desk.  Groups/Teams with multiple
    groups should schedule their order of performance to allow for costume change.
  • All performers must be prepared to take the stage once they are assembled in back stage area.  Groups must take the stage when
    announced as performance WILL NOT be delayed for missing members or members changing.
  • Back stage area is restricted to PERFORMERS ONLY.  
  • For those w/ small children performers, please advise us if you will need to accompany them backstage.  
  • Directors are responsible for having dancers ready to take stage in a timely fashion.
  • Performers must leave back stage area when routine is completed.
  • Directors:  Please make sure ALL YOUTH Dance routines are AGE APPROPRIATE and TASTEFUL - Routines should be 75% Salsa!

There will be NO VIDEO TAPING ALLOWED during ANY/ALL dance performances!

NuevoTec will be videotaping all performances.

Vidoes will be available for purchase at a reasonable price for individual team performances and/or of all performances!
Nuevotec will be donating 10% of generated profits to ST. Jude Children's Hospital.
